 last game of the season... Friday, October 28, 2011 so with the last weekend of October comes the final match of the Fall youth soccer season...it has not been without its ups and downs. as the boy continues to cement his own reputation as one of the best in the state at his age, the internal strife of team parents, playing time and unrealistic expectations has put a damper on some of the great achievements made. so forward, that's how we play it. with one match left, 21 assists, 8 goals is the stat line. surely the assist leader in the state, he sees the field as good as i do now and i don't miss much--but more importantly, he shares without prejudice and is a leader in ways i have never been. when i see his number 19, i think hard work and that makes me more proud than anything else...that and the smile. to the frame.
