Friday, February 12, 2010 espn game day, lexington, rupp arena. national coverage of the mayhem which is UK basketball. i heard local-boy-done-good, tom hammond talking with tom leach(voice of the Cats) about covering the winter olympics and he digressed a bit and brought up some of the same thoughts i have spoken about in the past...the 'that's all we got' stuff being from kentucky. no professional sports teams beyond the minor league baseball, no huge-ungous SEC football school zaniness, just the legacy of rupp and winning and championships and the blue, yes, the blue. that's what we have...and when the team is playing and good, well, that is quite enough--thank you. don't forget, i'll be there tomorrow wandering and looking for photos. find me...
