a minor place.

a minor place.
Monday, February 09, 2009
when the opening lyric to the old bonnie 'price' billy song 'a minor place' kicks in, i think about walking in the winter rain with only my socks on, stopping to hide from the water next to a vined wall. that first stanza goes something like 'I've been to a minor place and I can say I like its face, if I am gone and with no trace, I will be in a minor place'--tears mixed with rain but still hopeful things would be better when i got to where i was going. i always thought that houses with vines were for rich people, and no one was ever home. i always wanted to live like that...mysteriously hidden behind tangled green vines and silent travel...

hand in. Diana (Mark L clone). Ilford HP5+.

and by all means, hear some toy camera chatter by tread over at WUKY's online arts mag... over at Tonic.
