Tuesday, November 11, 2008 hey if you get a chance, check out ESPN's E:60 program tonight, tuesday, nov. 11 at 7 p.m. it will feature lexington's own adam bender. adam made national headlines back in the summer when a photo of him playing baseball made the wires and caught the attention of some producers at ESPN as well as some big time coaches who thought adam's story was inspirational. it is. adam lost his leg to cancer as an infant, but it hasn't stopped him from excelling in youth sports...here's a primer with some more details about adam. i had the pleasure of watching adam in action this summer and fall on the kentucky kickers soccer team (you might catch me screaming at refs on show tonight) as they took the gold medal in this year's Bluegrass State Games. i also shot a few pics of adam and the rest of the boys in practice and in all the games...the coolest thing about adam is he's just one of the kids and he's downrigh amazing to watch...er, i'd say he kicks butt or as i say around here, goAdamgo.
