well, home stretch here we come. october surprises coming at us in the traditional way, outrageous claims of 'Bs' carved in faces, screams of 'marxist,' chortles of 'islamist,' guffaws of 'dangerous,' --all with the undertone of the undeniable 800 lb. gorilla in the room...'barack obama is black, so white-folk you must fear him.' the strangest thing about lame old mcSame's campaign is that they are so erratic and unfocused that they cannot even ride out one single news cycle to see if their slanders, lies and hate-fueled rhetoric will work. they change gears, flip-flop and carry-on so unprofessionally, that when eyed from afar you can hardly do more than chuckle at the silliness of it all. but this isn't someone running for county clerk or small town sheriff, this is for the white house and this dumbed-down nonsense is playing out on the national, hell, even the world stage. no wonder the world wants an obama presidency, mcBush changes his mind like he's trying to choose from the senior's menu at denny's...'should i have the moons over my hammy or the tax and spend?' i don't think he's capable of picking out matching socks, i don't want him in charge of anything more dangerous than a disposable razor. remember mcLiar tells '100 percent absolute truth' --when he said that jerry falwell 'is no longer an agent of intolerance'; or when he claims he told Bush to fire Rumsfeld; or that he's the only presidential candidate not taking money from 'special interests'; or that he can balance the budget in four years; or that bbama wants kindergarteners taught 'comprehensive sex education'; or that ms. pale-in is the country's foremost expert on energy and no one knows more about autism (even though her child has Down syndrome). all 100 percent absolute truth.

and how about our girl? going all rogue and speaking out of turn (by that i mean making up her own lies instead of just repeating the ones written for her) and dismissing the $150,000 wardrobe and $11,000 a week make-up claims...okay, she isn't really dismissing them or not wearing them or not putting lipstick on her pig or pitbull or whatever she does with it. i am to surmise that it must be hard to put lipstick on an animal because if you can bill $11k a week as a make-up artist and not be blowing a republican governor, mayor or senator then you must be earning your keep.

as the mcPalin campaign lines up the circular firing squad to shoot whoever is responsible for the debacle they call a campaign, i have to laugh at the extremes that intellectuals went to justify her as an apt candidate just a few weeks ago. now they cannot wait for this all to end. what will the right become?

limbaugh and a few others are calling for a more hardline, ultra-right future, calling off the 'big-tent, let's get some moderates in the party' politics of now and opting for a more hawkish, anti-everything next time...save you energy for your next illegal prescription drug-fueled sex vacation, rush, if your party doesn't send the religious wing nuts walking, your big government (there is nothing small government about republicans, that is the biggest fucking lie going), big spending, pro-corporate, pro-bible joke of a party will be sidelined for more than just one cycle...mark my word, you'll never come back. there isn't a wire-brush, big and bristled enough to wash the bush legacy off this country and your party will forever be tied to what will be considered the worst president ever...the same way mcLame blurts out herbert hoover (wow, how relevant in 2008, kids are you connecting with gramps yet?) future generations will mention gwb as the sign post for what can go wrong if the religious right and the hawkish neocons bed down together...we will not be fooled again.

but, enough negativity, i'm feeling pretty good...no not measuring the curtains yet, but at least looking at paint chips...let me give you a little prediction, 8 days out. obama will win big...but an even bigger story will be how good we will feel when he does and how those who didn't vote for him will actually wish they did by say, next thursday or friday when they see what just the prospect of legitimate change means to america's reputation, self-esteem and place on this planet...

so i say it again, stay alert, don't give up, see this through, vote early if you can, and no matter what, show up, vote for obama, vote for us for a change, let's make some peace.
