Monday, March 24, 2008 alright. i'll say it. i'm disappointed with my bracket. my cats out, pitt, too and miss. st., arkansas, as well. but on the flipside. western kentucky university, a sweet 16 team, the coach was once a student intern in my old office, great kid, funny, goofy and appreciated my wise mentorship when it came to a good dick joke...but i digress. how was easter you ask? well, if jesus did in fact leave the tomb dressed as a giant bunny, i missed it but big ups to reesesTM white chocolate eggs. word. oh, and i spent it looking at the new LightLeaks. wow. pick it up if you haven't yet and if you aren't subscribing, shame be upon you, you are missing it, i feel that photo history is happening right in front of my eyes with the quality of shooting going down in the scene, there's room on the bandwagon, get on. i had a coffee with Mike from chicago on friday, you might know him better as the man behind VisionCity. good conversation, good outlook for the future of possible collaborations between chi-town and lex. hey, who don't like the word 'co-labbo-ration?' werd up kids, some of my boy-ish shots are being featured over at a new and superbly sublime online photographer's stage broadcasting from Italy, known as I Thought I Was Alone. i urge you to visit, check out the other artists and drop Lele a note proclaiming your love... get up on it, i got a couple prints in Unrefined Light at the Foundry Art Centre juried perfectly by the toy camera princess Michelle Bates. opening reception, next Friday, March 28: 6-9 p.m. i got peoples joining on the walls there, this will be the best toy camera show of the year, yes, the best, bar none, no lens babies or other bullshit, just plas-tastic goodness. hey, give another look at PhotoMedia Center's Holga Show 2.0, lest you forget how fucking grand it is.
