![]() domo arigato, mr. roboto Monday, January 28, 2008 i think i'm ready for more robots in the world. seriously, haven't we been promised a more roboty society for some time now? instead all i got is the same old white trash humanoids in my day to day. i need some highly sophisticated electronic something somethings to do my bidding. you wouldn't believe the work to do here in corporate healthcare world. or maybe i just need a monkey. not like one of those stephen king helper monkeys but a chimp. you know, like a chimp i could put in argyle sweaters and crocsTM and send to meetings. yeah, fuck a bunch of robots. chimps are the way to go. robo-ho. Holga. Ilford HP5+. Again, the New Orleans Photo Alliance 'Toy Stories' show. yes, i'm in. thanks to juror and my personal online toy camera hero, Susan Burnstine, who saw fit to let my shot 'ponder' into the fray. i'm surely not alone, Bill V., Annabelle T., Gary M. and Warren H. will be hanging. special 'word up' to Warren for snagging an Honorable Mention for the show. the opening reception for Toy Stories will be Saturday, February 16 from 6 - 9 p.m. The exhibit will close on Tuesday, April 1. The gallery address is 1111 St. Mary St., New Orleans. and don't let me forget my little old picture thing is hanging in seattle, home of coffee, grunge and girls with facial hair, at wall space, which is no small feet, er, feat. clint willour picked the winners to be walled up. and let me toot my own horn if you ain't. i won the juror's award for black and white imagery over at the photomedia center's Holga 2.0 show.
