Friday, January 25, 2008 if i've learned anything this week, beside the fact that in case of emergency please phone the olsen twins, it's that everyone needs to take a little break. it's cold, there's a lot of work here, but you got to make time for you. yes, some 'you' time. so if you need to, wander to the back of building, hunker down, hang out with those having a smoke and just...'you' out. Again, the New Orleans Photo Alliance 'Toy Stories' show. yes, i'm in. thanks to juror and my personal online toy camera hero, Susan Burnstine, who saw fit to let my shot 'ponder' into the fray. i'm surely not alone, Bill V., Annabelle T., Gary M. and Warren H. will be hanging. special 'word up' to Warren for snagging an Honorable Mention for the show. the opening reception for Toy Stories will be Saturday, February 16 from 6 - 9 p.m. The exhibit will close on Tuesday, April 1. The gallery address is 1111 St. Mary St., New Orleans. and don't let me forget my little old picture thing is hanging in seattle, home of coffee, grunge and girls with facial hair, at wall space, which is no small feet, er, feat. clint willour picked the winners to be walled up. and let me toot my own horn if you ain't. i won the juror's award for black and white imagery over at the photomedia center's Holga 2.0 show. and while you are taking that break, i'll still be on it. behind the post office, where the smoker's take a break.
