 this town is just bad luck. Tuesday, December 11, 2007 lexington, kentucky--known as home of the University of Kentucky Wildcats, Keeneland Race Course, Belle Brezing and a strange blueblooded hoidy-toidyness painted with a swath of good ol' rednecked sumpin, sumpin. i bring up this town because right now cuz it strikes me as quite ill-equipped to satisfy my winter hunger for anything a bit more creative. most of the arts shows have made way for xmas tripe, most of the roads are too busy with shoppers to draw you to city exploration and there is just a general fucking lull in the air. i'm trying to get the spirit but thus far, short of a moment or two here and there, it hasn't happened yet. but i ain't given up. keep shooting, try smiling, limit the cynicism and up the eggnog...that is what i'm saying. sign+beer can=interesting story?
