Friday, July 20, 2007 sure Man Ray's image of Kiki as homage to Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres's nudes is surreal. but is it any more surreal than the moving image of those famous f-holes on a kid's diving instructor at the public pool? i think its a great idea, i just don't know if it matches the whole barbed wire thorny bicep band tat thing...kind of a strange pairing of ideas but hey, i wear plaids and stripes together and polka dots, too. public art.
