Tuesday, June 19, 2007 L.A. artrock from tread? hard to beat back the hype that Dean Spunt and Randy Randall, the duo behind everyone's fave '07 indie music talking point, No Age, have generated over the past bit. their debut release isn't even out yet but that ain't stopping them. infectious is one of those overused music critic bullshit words, it fits nonetheless. quirky, off-tuned pop that falls apart just in time to become some kind of keith mooned, thrift store drum kitted, punk rocked, ass-shaking wonderpiece. i'm a give you some.
