Wednesday, May 02, 2007 well, sometime last night the fine crew at photobloggie hq posted the final 'winners' in all the categories. to recap, you sweetly, kindly nominated the digs here for three separate awards, best toy camera photography, best writing on a photoblog and photoblog of the year..that in and of itself warms my huge cockles...oh, yeah, now that i mentioned my cockles, they went from warmish to engourged when i found out that i nabbed the top prize for best writing...i think i blathered on last year about best writing on a photoblog being akin to best makeup on a horse's ass or something since photoblogging is, for the most part, all about the images and given much of my wordings are personalized rants, pro and con about things of isolated interest it is pretty cool really to be recognized...alas, i will wear this heavyweight title belt of blog with pride for the next year and i want to make it known today--one day after the announcement--that i am eyeballin' a fucking threepeat. oh, and i wonder if i can trade up that lensbaby for one that will fit my pentax 67. i got shit i can barter with babies. oh, i want to say 'sorry' that i didn't make it to chicago, last minute canceling and shit, next year, i get my shit in person and i mean that and if that is sounding cocky...well. so brandon stone, prepare to be tongue kissed hard. big ups to all my pals, those on and off the list of noms and winners and thanks for stopping by here when you can, my cockles appreciate you. btw, lala truly is having a banner spring! and i'm not just talking about bob's cockles either. now to help me celebrate...download this tune courtesy of yours truly from Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, it is large, it is totally danceable, it is The Skin Of My Yellow Country Teeth...and speaking of country teeth; three 24X24 prints of mine are hanging over in huntington, west virginia at the museum of art, the opening reception is saturday, derby day, may 5 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. and let me tell you there are some big fucking names up in there and some nea monies and other sponsors--they are giving out some $2K prizes, wish your boy some luck...and mentioning boy and luck, yes, the w kid leaves for costa rica tomorrow for nine days and that means finally--the announcement of the winner of the rolleicord and your long-awaited polaroid (if you haven't gotten yours) is leaving my hands on the following day...thank you all for the donations, you made it happen but i'm not mentioning cockles again in this post... a place to sit.
