 everything seems greener. Tuesday, April 03, 2007 spring is only a few days old, i know, but i be damned if central kentucky isn't as green as all get-out. i know this old velvet chair isn't really bringing home my point but you get what i'm saying anyway. as the polar ice caps melt and penguin populations deplete, some of us are getting the nicest springs on record. i heard a congressman this morning praddle on about how the earth's climate change will help out all the russian farmers with longer growing seasons and the like. of course, if you live near water, invest in some waterproof luggage, you are gonna need it for the move when the sea levels begin to rise...ahhh, but i urge you to enjoy the spring, you lucky ones, as you drive through the countryside...i know that exxon and gm share my warm wishes to you. aw, fuck my condescendingly smug bullshit. ride a god damned bike, or walk or better yet, just don't go anywhere every now and again. eat one less hamburger this week, have one more decent beer, take one less shower, stink a little for a change. oh, and turn off that damned light. green velvet chair+shadow.
