Monday, March 26, 2007 if you are in america and are not under a rock you know doubt have heard that my beloved UK basketball wildcats lost their battle-marred coach Tubby Smith to the golden gophers of minnesota this past week--along with starting center randolph morris. it is all the talk of the town, believe me. who will the new coach be? the idiotic believe billy donovan from the champion florida gators (gag) would actually make the jump, not a chance--or that slick rick pitino will jump from rival louisville back to lexington to revive us to past glory--doubtful. i was leaning towards gonzaga's mr. few but starting to feel that might not be the case, since his assistant decided to jump to san diego for a job when he had a contract clause that would allow him first right of refusal at 'zaga if the job came open...who will it be...wishing in one hand and shitting in the other, we know which one will fill up first...whoever it is. i have no choice, i am a fan of the wildcats, the coach makes little difference in my support. fyi--i hope georgetown wins the whole damned thing. florida, ucla and osu leave this redneck cold. here's the cool thing about NCAA basketball--no one gets killed like in the cricket world cup...and the games only take a couple hours not a couple days. call me an ugly american but i require actual activity in my mindless games, although the thought of rival coaches or teams being executed does put me in my happy place sometimes. the new milk bar is on line...i'm all up in it. winter cattails.
