![]() remembering rem. Friday, March 23, 2007 in one of his last series titled 'motion-sound,' ralph eugene meatyard made his images by snapping, then moving the camera gently and snapping again, creating multiple exposures of woodland scenes that suggest abstract sound patterns. trembling and emotive, meatyard sought to have the sound spring from the frame and into your consciousness. on this beautiful spring day, here in meatyard's town, is a little late winter homage (duplicating his rolleiflex with my toy camera) to my long deceased inspiration...gene, i only know you through the words of your friends, the art you left behind...and the sounds you transmitted with your photography. loud old muse, loud and clear. hear rem here.
