![]() you can run but you can't hide. Thursday, March 15, 2007 boy, to say it has been a bit hectic in TreadWorldTM would be a slight understatement. hell, you know the cliche' when it rains, it pours. both with good and bad news; a couple old friends reconnected the past week, one is doing a movie, having a modicum of underground success and fun while the other one has hit a speed bump with a health issue. nonetheless good to hear from a couple guys i had not heard from in a couple years. i can be an anti-social prick to some extent. thank goodness they found me cuz as much as i 'mean well' i fuck shit up when it comes to being the chummy sort. while i'm thanking that entity known as 'goodness' i have to thank something tangible... that's Flak Photo. Andy, the head cook and bottlewasher over yonder is a gem. during the Toy Polloy ramp up he stepped up and made a big deal about the show and the artists who contributed and i have to say that, personally, there isn't a day goes by that i don't check what he has on view. i urge you to dog-ear your browser and check in regularly...don't give me no flak, wait, give me some flak, aw heck, you know what i mean. something else to thank...you. yeah, you. for all the 'congrats' on stuff, like shows and photobloggies and images and all that. it means something to me. i'm never sure what. i keep thinking one of these days i'll stop writing words on the blog and disconnect the comments and just let the images rest here with no chatter but as much as i classify myself as an anti-social prick, i check in, i converse, i answer emails eventually and i enjoy the history that is made right here everyday. you all contribute as much to that as i do, i'm thankful that you bother. enough with the sappy sap, what is up with Alberto Gonzales? if you don't know what I'm talking about...he's the Attorney General. he was formerly a White House counselor...he's now fired eight US Prosecutors in what sure as Hell looks politically motivated as the never ending cronyism continues from this administration. it is unprecedented in modern times and smells like something you'd hear about under Nixon's heavy hand. the fired prosecutors say that in dealings with lawmakers, administration officials and others who had complaints or were pushing causes, Gonzales' department took no apparent steps to ensure that its decisions were free — or at least appeared free — of political tainting. for the head of the Justice Department to be removing prosecutors who don't target Democrats for investigation or worse actually try to prosecute Republicans and Bush followers for improprieties is intolerable. talking about not realizing what the 'Justice' in 'Justice Department' means...he must go...now...is it fucking 2008 yet? el huckleberry.
