growth & change.

It is still warm here, threatening rain, even possible thunderstorms...some trees look to be budding but there is a chance for a final snow over the weekend...but they won't stop spring I surmise and by 'they' I mean the weather suits on the TV.

I mentioned a couple days back that I was honored to be chosen to take part in the Exhibition 280 at the Huntington Museum of Art over in West Virginia. It's a pretty big deal for this neck of the country I guess. I felt a twinge of guilt because a pal who hipped me to the call for entries, who is a really renowned photo artist who does photograms didn't get in this year even though she has gotten in before. Not sure why I felt guilty talking about it with her but I did.

Got some more strong news...one of my shots (the iconic shot of Wilder) was selected for The Art of Photography Show in San Diego, CA. Again, seems like a pretty big deal at least to me. They received 9867 entries from 37 countries. 103 pieces were chosen. I was 1. No cash prize dammit but nonetheless they do some strong marketing, there is a catalog and most of the works in the previous years have sold so that is pretty okay. My advice to people...keep submitting to shows, success at some level will come.
