 if saying gotreadgo is wrong...i don't wanna be right. Friday, February 02, 2007 yesterday i made the off the cuff 'haha' that i was 'totally gay for these magazines...' statement which garnered me a hateful little email from a gotreadgo visitor. this visitor took my stab at humor as homophobic, since you know, i'm not gay. in essence, their take was since i'm not actually gay, i can't state that i'm gay for something. people sure get wrapped up in the gay thing don't they? both sides even. gays can't marry, straights can't watch brokeback mountain, gays can't be in the military, straights can't dance very well, you know what i'm saying, we make up all this societal rules based upon who a complete stranger may or may not be sleeping with. honestly, unless you are sleeping with them or trying to, should you waste your energy? so no, i'm no homophobe, more homobored. bored with the discussion and judging of a person based on all that. so yeah, hard to believe i won that 2006 Photobloggie for 'Best Writing'... great segway to remind you the 2007 Photobloggies are here...nominations are open...i should know, i nominated some of you. oh, and i'm straight (Exit Only!) in love with Gay For Johnny Depp. can i get a what what? get involved--photo person who stops by here. it is so easy to join in on a fairly worthy cause.
