 frankenbiking redux. Saturday, January 27, 2007 I was scanning some older negs for a couple shots that are to be published in the next issue of Opium because they were scanned with my old crappy scanner. I came across this frame. It was one of the first shots I posted over at Toy Camera. Boy+Bicycle+Frankenstein Mask+Holga on 'B' in the daylight. To some it is probably little more than a throwaway image but to me it ranks as both a turning point in my thoughts about my own photography and a simple homage to Meatyard (it's a mixture of elements he covered, kids, masks, sound+motion). It is a personal favorite to me and scanning it anew reminded me why I love shooting pictures and more importantly why I love using toy cameras. Win a classic Rollei TLR by making a difference.
