alright, been away from the bliz-og for a couple...guess why? getting toy polloy to the wallz. how did it go, tread, you must be wondering...well...very well I must say. the internet press, the local press, the word of mouth, etc. all made this a very memorable event. good crowd, good company, 4 toyers were there for the show that had images on the wall. Phillip Frances, a lexington boy cum NYC, Angie of Pinkie Style fame, Tennessee's own Tammy Keever and the whole Ed Linn family made the trek. on a less than funny note Parlour did not play the show because a principal member of the band was court-ordered to enter rehab pre-gig time. but Tight Leather laid down the skree nonetheless.

quick notes as they enter my head...
Bones Carpenter, UK professor of Photography made the show as did his co-hort professorially and photo artist Ruth Adams, both Masters in their own right and they had nothing but glowing things to say about the show...there was talk of a effort to bring down Nancy Rexroth after viewing the show...we shall see?

Brian Ronk is like a carpentry art godhead...we put together a whole exhibit from scratch on thursday and friday. Shew.

Mike Barnes is like Thomas Edison (only cuter) with plexiglass. Toy Polloy would be nothing without his NeoFrames...he's got something there folks, i ain't lying to ya.

the Toy Polloy contributors, you all rock.

W, the new weekly
magazine in Lexington gave the show the cover and a great article, one of my shots was all big on the outside... it was pretty cool.

Andy and Flak, wow, how can i say enough thanks for the kindness?

even more random thoughts.
it got crowded at the show.
people like to drink.
20 somethings dress funny in an ironic throwback way.
i was ready to go to sleep at 8:30. forever.
i evenutally ate a couple pretzels. thank u t-dizzle, without you...what in the hell am i doing...i mean besides sleepwalking and suffering.
i owe Brian a fancy beer.
mick jefferies had on salmon colored pants.
i was made to blush a few times. attention can be weird.
gary k. thinks a lot when he drinks.
tammy k. brought a film camera to the show...that was cool.
ed l. has an autographed white Holga. Randy Smith of Holgamod.com built it all custom. we were all jealous. ed l. seemed to gloat.
angie claimed i was cold and didn't want to hug her 'hello' then she superfically patted my back. when will people get it that i'm a like a germophobe but it isn't really about the germs it's just people in general. i kid, i wasn't that scared of her.
photo people are nerds. seriously, you should have heard some of the conversations.
me feet hurted.
there were homosexuals at the show but no one protested with any signs or burnt any rainbow flags. that is always a good thing, you never know these days.
young college age boys seem to care more about how they look that the girls do.
phillip mentioned something about being on a vow of celibacy.
i think i should grow a beard now.
i wonder if i'll ever take another decent photo?

peace,
tread
