I'll quote my favorite Conservative, Republican, Christian, Gay, Articulate, Anti-torture blogger Andrew Sullivan today to back up my point about this administration...'Iraq is now a foreign policy Katrina. If you liked the way they handled Katrina, you'll like the way they have handled Iraq. I repeat again: This is no longer an election. It's an intervention.'

I don't want to beat this Kerry thing in the ground, but a few days removed, you have by now seen or heard the actual Kerry transcript of his 'joke' that he botched. The crux of it was Bush was, and has always been, a doofus and slacker and given that he was unprepared to handle a war in Iraq effectively and got stuck there. Now if you and I can see and hear what Kerry 'meant' you know that the Whitehouse and Rove and the crew knew what Kerry meant, so why go out and scream that he was talking about the troops and demand this and that from him. Again, with the distortion and lies, again, no apology from them, instead they hammer home that Kerry was calling the troops dumb when the evidence is obviously to the contrary. It speaks volumes about Bush in this instance. He is not a leader at all, merely a hack politician who will do anything to 'win.' Winning of course is subjective in this case, winning is only about staying in power and ultimately 'staying the course.' Folks, his legacy will be failure, corruption, pet politics and a record of dishonesty that makes even Nixon's administration seem tame.

I'm begging you, do something about this mess, you have a chance next Tuesday, send a real message that you are sick of the lack of leadership, of checks and balances and the wadding up of the Constitution...6 years of complete and utter control and this is the best they can do...let's try something different, I think we deserve that at the very least.
