![]() practice to make perfect. Monday, June 12, 2006 Neuroscientists have long supported the notion of your brain being plastic. Sort of like your toy camera. But where your Diana cannot remodel itself, the brain can and does sometimes, in a very short time period. Of course, your brain doesn't just rewire itself on a whim. How does it do this? Practice. When we approach a task with great interest and do it over and over again, the brain becomes emotionally interested in this task. This attention, this repetition, this practice leads to potential change in the brain. What you may not have known how to do at first, with practice becomes not only a learned task, but best case scenario, second nature. Sure practice sucks, doesn't matter if it's learning a musical instrument, shooting photos or honing your soccer skills...but to get better at anything, life even, you got to practice...so today, put in a good workout, at something, anything. Practice, no pain, no gain, no brain. world cup dreams. Canon GIII QL17, Kodak E100, x'pro'ed. Best indy photo zine out there, it's Lightleaks.
