Hey picture people...have a nice holiday, whatever that means to you...

Us, and by us, I mean the whole U.S. got a early present in the form of the Senate blocking the lousy, low-handed politico efforts to use a Pentagon spending bill to open the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to oil drilling. When they couldn't get Arctic drilling through the Senate on a fair vote, the Republican leadership tried to force it through by bundling it with this year's defense spending. The rejection of the drilling provision was a defeat for Congressional Republicans and the Shrub, who argue that the Arctic oil and natural gas could reduce American dependence on foreign oil. (no, seriously, they have nothing else to gain, none of them share any interest in the oil business at all...haha...right.)

If you want to reduce the dependence on foreign oil, park your monster car crushers, explore suitable, viable options on hybrid and hydrogen powered vehicles and real mass transit. Hey big boy, we get it already, your penis is small and flaccid and you are overcompensating by driving an engourged, hardened steel 4X4. I thought guns and ammo were phallic enough to get you by, but I was wrong again, I reckon.

Oh, and I thought this war on terror was gonna finance itself with Iraqi oil money...oops, I guess the real winners are Halliburton and those magnetic car ribbon makers. Let's really support our troops and their families by wishing our peeps home for next year's holidays and an end to a war based on lies, mistruths and fear-mongering.
